What a wonderful holiday season it has been. Isabelle started creep-crawling a few weeks ago, and now makes a beeline for whatever forbidden thing is nearby (usually one of James's toys specially designed for ages 3 and up and most attractive to the under-3 set). I think James longs for earlier times when his sister remained in one place, but Peter and I are so excited to see her motoring around. We spent a lovely, if rainy (11+ inches!!), weekend at my parents' house, with my brother, sister-in-law and nephew Noah (who is also 3) visiting from Georgia. James and Noah were fast friends, and it's so exciting to see them grow up together.
Now we're off to James's Christmas concert at school, and then in for a quiet weekend at home, celebrating with Pete's family on the 25th. We'll see what Santa has in store for us.
